about
No Man's Tale is essentially what its name suggests: A tale of time's before, now nowhere and with no man. The mythical Erewhon. Recorded with all analog sound equipment, on guitars all dating pre-1963, the real sound of live music is palpable on this track. There is a yearning for a simpler time, and the feeling of how nostalgic memories eventually become like dreams through the river of time; so real, yet so intangible.
A video for the single has been recorded using vintage film cameras from the 1960's and 1970's, entirely on 16mm and super 8 film. Double exposure effects have been utilized to enhance the quality of the dreamlike state of distant memories, and the scenery is all shot on location in the badlands of California.
Can you see?
lyrics
Mama, Woe, can´t you See?
That baby, she always loved me
And Maybe, someday we'll be....
Back again, with our friends
Running in our home again
Just like the start (x2)
Daddy, he always showed me
To be a kind and good man
When sadly, life deals a bad hand
In the morning light, the mist came and fall
as we lay in the old summer's hall
watching clouds shape and then fall
but, Woe; we were all just so small
Mama, Woe; can´t you see?
That Daddy, was always just so free
And sister, I had none of these
But brothers, I had two of He
And baby...
We want one just for We.
